NHL: Buffalo 6, Philadelphia 5

PHILADELPHIA, March 11 (UPI) -- Mike Grier scored the game-winning goal with 4.6 seconds left Saturday to give the Buffalo Sabres a 6-5 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Jochen Hecht had a goal and three assists and Daniel Briere and Jean- Pierre Dumont each had a goal and two assists for Buffalo, which has won five straight.

Teppo Numminen scored his first goal of the year and Chris Drury added a goal and an assist for the Sabres.

Buffalo's Ryan Miller made 15 saves before being replaced by Martin Biron at the start of the third period. Biron finished with one save.

Sami Kapanen had a goal and an assist and Antero Niittymaki 33 saves for the Flyers, who have lost five of their last seven games. Philadelphia's only two wins during that stretch came in shootouts.

Brian Savage, Simon Gagne, Mike Richards and Mike Knuble also scored for the Flyers.
