NHL: Anaheim 4, Ottawa 3 (SO)

OTTAWA, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Chris Kunitz scored the lone shootout goal Thursday night as Anaheim beat Ottawa, 4-3.

In regulation, Kunitz also scored once along with Teemu Selanne and Todd Marchant. Selanne, Andy McDonald, Vitaly Vishnevski and Jonathan Hedstrom had assists; and Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 30 shots for the Mighty Ducks (20-16-9), who have won just twice in their last six contests.

Dany Heatley, Patrick Eaves and Bryan Smolinski all scored goals; Smolinski added an assist; and Dominik Hasek made 36 saves for the Senators (31-10-4), who had two-game winning streak snapped.

Overall, Anaheim out-shot Ottawa, 42-36. Both teams were 1-for-4 on the power play.
