COL BKB: Georgia Tech 60, Boston Coll. 58

ATLANTA, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Zam Fredrick sank a three-pointer with just 33 seconds left Sunday as Georgia Tech upset 11th-ranked Boston College, 60-58.

Jeremis Smith had 16 points and nine rebounds; Anthony Morrow added 15 points, four rebounds and four assists; and Theodis Tarver recorded eight points, six rebounds and six assists for the Yellow Jackets (8-4, 2-0 ACC), who have won three straight games.

Craig Smith registered 26 points and seven rebounds; Jared Dudley added 14 points and seven boards; and Tyrese Rice scored 10 points for the Eagles (11-3, 0-2 ACC), who had a five-game winning streak snapped.

The Yellow Jackets had a sizeable 31-20 advantage on the boards and won the contest despite committing 14 turnovers to nine by BC.

Georgia Tech closed the first half on a 16-5 run to take a 29-26 lead at the break.
