NHL: Los Angeles 3, Dallas 2

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Mattias Norstrom scored 2:29 into overtime to give the Los Angeles Kings a 3-2 victory over the visiting Dallas Stars.

Lubomir Visnovsky scored twice, including the tying goal with 26.8 seconds left in regulation, for the Kings, winners in eight of their last 10 games. Visnovsky also assisted on the winning goal and Craig Conroy added two helpers for Los Angeles, which scored all its goals on the power play.

Jussi Jokinen and Jon Klemm scored for Dallas.

Mathieu Garon had 31 saves for the Kings, while Marty Turco stopped 24 shots.

The Stars were 1-for-2 on the power play, while the Kings were 3-for-7.
