NHL: Calgary 3, Chicago 2

CALGARY, Alberta, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Matthew Lombardi scored the go-ahead goal midway through the third period Monday to give the Calgary Flames a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Kristian Huselius had a goal and an assist and Jarome Iginla his 16th goal of the season for the Flames, who have won four of their last five games. Miikka Kiprusoff had 35 saves for Calgary.

Jim Vandermeer had a goal and an assist and Craig Anderson stopped 18 of 21 shots for Chicago, which has lost seven straight games.
