COL BKB: Connecticut 85, Stony Brook 52

HARTFORD, Conn., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Marcus Johnson and Rashad Anderson each scored 14 points Wednesday night to help second-ranked Connecticut blast Stony Brook, 85-52.

Jeff Adrien scored 13, Hilton Armstrong added 11 points and 11 rebounds and Josh Boone registered nine points, nine rebounds and one assist for the Huskies (10-0). UConn has won its first 10 games of the season for the fourth time under Coach Jim Calhoun.

Mitchell Beauford had a team-high 14 points and Mike Popoko added 12 and nine rebounds for the Seawolves (0-8), who trailed, 46-19, at the break.

Connecticut had a whopping 58-28 advantage on the boards.
