NBA: Phoenix 104, Washington 99

WASHINGTON, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Shawn Marion registered 28 points and five rebounds Wednesday night as the Phoenix Suns beat Washington, 104-99.

Steve Nash had 19 points and 16 assists while James Jones added 16 points and seven boards and Raja Bell had 13 points, five boards and three assists for the Suns (17-10), who have won two straight and avenged a 112-111 loss to Washington on Dec. 23.

Caron Butler had 22 points, Antawn Jamison added 19 and Gilbert Arenas recorded 16 points and seven assists for the Wizards (12-15), who had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Washington, which led by 86-78 with 7 1/2 minutes left to play, out-rebounded the Suns, 44-37.
