NBA: Memphis 89, Portland 79

MEMPHIS, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Pau Gasol registered 26 points and 12 rebounds Wednesday night as Memphis beat the Portland Trail Blazers, 89-79.

Shane Battier added 15 points, Mike Miller had 13 while Lorenzen Wright had nine points and 11 boards for the Grizzlies (15-9), who have won two of their last three games.

Juan Dixon had 17 points and seven assists, while Zach Randolph and Ruben Patterson each had 15 points for the Blazers (7-18), who have lost two in a row and five of their last six games.

Portland, which trailed by 43-39 at the break, out-rebounded the Grizzlies, 41-38.
