NHL: Dallas 2, Toronto 1

TORONTO, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Marty Turco made 19 saves Saturday as the Dallas Stars, 10-1 in their last 11 games, nipped the Toronto Maple Leafs, 2-1.

Jere Lehtinen and Jon Klemm scored the goals for the Stars, who have won five straight. Mike Modano picked up his 17th assist of the season and now has points in five straight games.

Toronto goalie Ed Belfour made 32 saves in the loss. With one-goal losses in his last four starts, Belfour remains stuck on 447 wins, tied with Hall of Famer Terry Sawchuk for second all-time.

Mats Sundin scored the lone goal for Toronto. The Leafs have lost three straight home games.
