The 32-year-old Damon, one of baseball's top lead-off hitters, batted .316 last season with 10 home runs, 75 RBI, 117 runs and 18 stolen bases, and had a 29-game hitting streak.

"We're talking to a number of teams about Johnny here (in Dallas), and of course, the Red Sox are included in that," Damon's agent, Scott Boras, told MLB.com.

Mueller, 34, who was the American League batting champion in 2003, had a .295 average last season with 10 home runs and 62 RBI. Graffanino batted .309 with seven homers and 38 RBI in 110 games between the Red Sox and Kansas City last season.
