SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- The San Francisco Giants have declined to offer arbitration to first baseman J.T. Snow and pitcher Brett Tomko.
The team made the decision shortly before Wednesday night's signing deadline and announced it Thursday.
"(The) decision was not one that came very easily to the Giants," said Giants General Manager Brian Sabean. "J.T. is one of the first players we acquired when I became the general manager and he's been an invaluable member of the Giants organization -- both on and off the field."
The six-time Gold Glove winner batted .275 last season with four home runs and 40 RBI in 117 games. He has 189 homers and 873 RBI in 1,677 career games.
Tomko was 8-15 last season with a 4.48 ERA in 33 games (30 starts). In 262 career games (216 starts), he has a record of 81-73 record and an ERA of 4.52.
