NEW YORK, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Baltimore linebacker Terrell Suggs, a former first-round draft pick, Wednesday was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
The third-year pro out of Arizona State recorded three sacks, six total tackles, and forced a fumble in the Ravens' 16-15 come-from-behind win over Houston. Suggs was joined by Miami wide receiver Chris Chambers (offense) and Cincinnati kick returner Tab Perry (special teams).
Chambers set franchise single-game records for receptions (15) and receiving yards (238) and also caught a key four-yard touchdown pass in the Dolphins' 24-23 win over Buffalo, a game the Bills once led by 20 points. His final 10 receptions all resulted in first downs and 11 of his catches gained at least 11 yards.
Perry returned five kicks for 197 yards (39.4 average) in the Bengals' 38-31 win at Pittsburgh. It was Cincinnati's fourth-highest single game total in return yardage.
