NHL: Vancouver 3, San Jose 1

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Ed Jovanovski scored the go-ahead power-play goal with 9:45 left, as the visiting Vancouver Canucks defeated the San Jose Sharks, 3-1.

Richard Park and Anson Carter both notched goals, and Mattias Ohlund tallied his 12th assist for Vancouver. Goaltender Dan Cloutier made 25 saves.

Marcel Goc scored San Jose's only goal and Evgeni Nabokov stopped 21 of 24 shots for the Sharks, who have lost four straight.

The Sharks pulled Nabokov with over a minute remaining in the game and got a quality scoring chance, but were rebuffed.
