OTTAWA, Yukon, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Daniel Alfredsson scored two third period goals Thursday night to help the Ottawa Senators over the Florida Panthers, 4-1.
Bryan Smolinski and Antoine Vermette each added goals; Wade Redden had three assists; Chris Neil, Jason Spezza and Dany Heatley all assisted once; and goaltender Dominik Hasek made 31 saves for Ottawa (14-3-0), which has won six of its last seven games. Heatley raised his consecutive point streak to a franchise record 17 games.

Ottawa went 2-for-7 on the power play while Florida went 0-for-6. The Flames had a sizeable 45-32 edge in shots on goal.
