NFL: New England 23, Miami 16

MIAMI, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Tom Brady threw a touchdown pass to Ben Watson with 2:16 left Sunday as New England got by the Miami Dolphins, 23-16.

Brady went 21-of-36 passing for 275 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Watson totaled two scoring receptions and Heath Evans gained 87 yards on 18 attempts for the Patriots (5-4), who bounced back from last Monday's loss to Indianapolis to remain first in the AFC East. In the final minute, the Patriots stopped Miami near their goal line.

Gus Frerotte went 26-of-48 for 363 yards, two touchdowns and one interception for Miami. Chris Chambers made six catches for 69 yards and two touchdowns; Randy McMichael had seven catches for 69 yards; and Ronny Brown ran for 64 yards on 14 attempts for the Dolphins (3-6).

Miami was one of only two teams to beat New England last season.
