NHL: NY Rangers 6, Pittsburgh 1

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Jaromir Jagr had a hat trick Saturday for the New York Rangers in a 6-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Steve Rucchin added two goals for the Rangers, who have won three straight and five of their last six. Goalie Kevin Weekes stopped 23 shots in net for New York.

Mark Recchi scored the lone goal for Pittsburgh, which has dropped two of its last three. Ryan Malone and Steve Poapst each recorded an assist, while goaltender Jocelyn Thibault allowed six goals on 41 shots.
