NHL: Phoenix 4, Los Angeles 0

PHOENIX, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Paul Mara had a goal and two assists Thursday night as the Phoenix Coyotes blanked the Los Angeles Kings, 4-0.

Mike LeClerc and Shane Doan each had one goal and one assist and goaltender Curtis Joseph stopped all 21 shots he faced to ring up his second shutout of the season for Phoenix (6-8-1), which broke a two-game slide.

Before he was pulled in the third period, Jason LaBarbera stopped 18 of 22 shots for Los Angeles (8-5-0), which had a three-game winning streak snapped. Mathieu Garon made seven saves in relief.

In shots on goal, the Coyotes won the battle, 29-21. The Kings were scoreless on seven power play chances while Phoenix was 2-for-9.
