Baird continues to lead at Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Briny Baird still heads the field after 36 holes of the Michelin Championship in Las Vegas.

On Friday, he followed his opening-round 10-under-par 62 with a 5-under 66, to sit at 15-under 128. He holds a two-stroke lead over a group of five players -- Shigeki Maruyama, Ryan Moore, Kevin Stadler, Bart Bryant and Paul Goydos (65) -- who are at 13-under 130.

Rod Pampling and Harrison Frazar are tied for fourth place at 12-under 131.

Among those missing the cut were Phil Mickelson (138), Lee Westwood (138), Jesper Parnevik (139) and Bob Tway (140).
