Perrot takes the lead at Auburn

AUBURN, Calif., Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Nicole Perrot shot a 7-under 64 on Saturday to take the lead after three rounds of the Longs Drugs Challenge at Auburn, Calif.

She is 14-under-par 199, three shots better than Liselotte Neumann (64) and Hee-Won Han (66), who are tied for second at 11-under 202.

Perrot is an LPGA Tour rookie in search of her first victory. She won twice on the Futures Tour in 2004.

Sherri Turner (66), Jennifer Rosales (67) and Sherri Steinhauer (69) share fourth place at 9-under-par 204. They are followed by Juli Inkster (67), Beth Daniel (70), Lindsey Wright (70) and overnight leader Dawn Coe-Jones (72), who are tied for seventh place at 8-under 205.

Defending champion Christina Kim (74) is part of a group tied for 30th place at 3-under 210.
