COL FB: Texas 51, Missouri 20

COLUMBIA, Mo., Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Vince Young threw for two touchdowns and ran for another Saturday as second-ranked Texas buried out-manned Missouri, 51-20.

Young went 15-of-22 passing for 236 yards and rushed for 108 yards on 13 carries. Jamaal Charles added 97 yards rushing on 15 carries, scored once on the ground and caught a scoring pass, as Texas improved to 4-0 (1-0 Big 12) by winning its conference opener for the seventh consecutive season.

Brad Smith threw for 181 yards and ran for 57 and two touchdowns for Missouri (2-2, 0-1), which now has lost four in a row to the Longhorns.

Texas scored its first three touchdowns on the first play after a Missouri turnover.
