MLB: Florida 5, N.Y. Mets 4

MIAMI, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Miguel Cabrera hit a three-run double in the seventh inning Saturday night as Florida beat the New York Mets, 5-4.

Carlos Delgado added a two-run homer and veteran manager Jack McKeon got his 1,000th career victory. He is the 51st manager all-time to reach that plateau and the seventh active.

Delgado now has 27 home runs.

In relief, winner Ron Villone rose to 1-2. Florida closer Todd Jones earned his 34th save.

Cliff Floyd hit a two-run homer for the Mets, who have dropped four in a row.

Losing pitcher Juan Padilla dropped to 1-1.
