MLB: Colorado 6, Pittsburgh 5

DENVER, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- A 10th inning single from Matt Holliday scored Todd Helton to lift the Colorado Rockies past the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-5.

Holliday homered and had four RBI, while Helton finished with two hits in his return from the disabled list with a strained calf muscle.

Tike Redman had two hits for the Pirates, who fell for the fourth time in their last six tries. Redman allowed five runs and six hits in five innings, while Colorado starter Aaron Cook gave up four runs on five hits in 6 1/3 innings.

Pitcher David Cortes (2-0) logged the win, while Rick White (3-4) was tagged with the loss.

The Rockies had a five-run fifth inning, but Pittsburgh responded with four runs in the seventh to tie the game up.
