MLB: Detroit 7, Chicago White Sox 1

CHICAGO, July 19 (UPI) -- Jeremy Bonderman pitched eight innings and Omar Infante hit a three-run homer Tuesday to pace the Detroit Tigers to a 7-1 win over the Chicago White Sox.

Bonderman (12-6) gave up one run and three hits. Magglio Ordonez had three hits, two runs scored and one RBI for the Tigers, who won for the third time in five games.

A.J. Pierzynski doubled and scored the only run for Chicago, which had a five-game winning streak halted.

Jose Contreras (5-6) allowed seven runs on eight hits.
