CHICAGO, July 8 (UPI) -- Bobby Crosby drove in two runs Friday night as Oakland beat the Chicago White Sox, 4-2.
Winning pitcher Kirk Saarloos (5-5) gave up seven hits and two runs over six-plus innings with two walks and three strikeouts.

Loser Jon Garland dropped to 13-4. In five innings, Garland yielded three runs and eight hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
Timo Perez had three hits and Scott Podsednik had two more for the AL Central-leading White Sox, who had a three-game win streak broken.
Huston Street recorded his fifth save for Oakland, which won for the 11th time in 14 games.
