MLB: Texas 6, Boston 5

ARLINGTON, Texas, July 5 (UPI) -- Kevin Mench hit a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth Monday as the Texas Rangers rallied to beat the Boston Red Sox 6-5.

Mark Teixeira had a game-tying double in the ninth for the Rangers, who scored three runs over the final two innings for their fifth win in six games.

Manny Ramirez hit a three-run homer for the Red Sox, who have lost five of their last seven games.
