MINNEAPOLIS, June 5 (UPI) -- Michael Ryan and Jacque Jones each went 3-for-4 with two RBI to lead Minnesota to a 9-3 victory Sunday over the New York Yankees.
Matthew LeCroy and Luis Rodriguez each had two hits and drove in a run for the Twins, who had been held scoreless by Yankee starter Kevin Brown through five innings before scoring five runs in the sixth.

Carlos Silva (4-3) allowed two runs over seven innings as Minnesota got its fourth win in its last five games. The righthander gave up seven hits and walked none.
Jason Giambi was 2-for-4 with an RBI single and Robinson Cano hit a solo homer for the Yankees, who have lost seven of their last eight games.
