NEWPORT, Wales, June 4 (UPI) -- Alessandro Tadini of Italy had a 3-over 72 on Saturday and held on to the the lead after the third round of The Celtic Manor Wales Open.
Tadini, 31, completed 54 holes at 8-under 199 in his bid for his first victory on the European Tour.
Ian Woosnam, who hasn't won a stroke-play title since 1997, shot a 68 to share second place with Miguel Angel Jimenez (70), Jose Manuel Lara (67) and Jean-Francois Lucquin (69) at 7-under 200.
David Lynn (72) was at 201.
Tadini, a winner on the Challenge Tour last season, had a 62 Friday to move into a two-shot lead. Damp, windy conditions n Saturday helped him keep that lead.
Nick Dougherty and Terry Price 65s Saturday to finish three shots back at 202 where they tied Joakim Haeggman, Jose- Filipe Lima and James Heath for seventh.
