MIAMI, May 25 (UPI) -- Jimmy Rollins and Jim Thome combined for seven hits Wednesday night in helping Philadelphia outlast Florida, 8-5.
Philadelphia had 17 hits with Rollins going four for five. Florida had won its previous six games.

Randy Wolf (4-4) took advantage of the offensive splurge by gaining the win even though he allowed five runs on nine hits over 5 1/3.
The game was delayed briefly by rain in the third, after which Philadelphia scored four times to take a 5-2 lead. The loss went to Al Leiter (2-5), who gave up five runs and seven hits in 2 1/3.
