MLB: Philadelphia 7, St. Louis 4

PHILADELPHIA, May 19 (UPI) -- Pat Burrell had three hits and drove in two runs Thursday as Philadelphia topped the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-4.

Winning pitcher Brett Myers allowed three runs on six hits in seven innings. He had no walks and nine strikeouts, improving to 4-2.

Jose Offerman hit a solo homer for the Phillies, who took two-of-three from the Cardinals.

The losing pitcher was Jason Marquis, who fell to 5-3.

Albert Pujols hit a two-run homer and Jim Edmonds added a solo shot for St. Louis, which lost for the third time in its last eight games.
