MLB: St. Louis 7, N.Y. Mets 6

NEW YORK, May 14 (UPI) -- Mark Grudzielanek had a home run and four RBI Saturday while pacing the St. Louis Cardinals to a 7-6 victory over the New York Mets.

Abraham Nunez also homered for St. Louis, which has won five of its last seven games. The Cardinals scored twice in the top of the eighth inning.

David Wright had three hits and Kaz Matsui three RBI for the Mets, who have lost three of their last four games.

Julian Tavarez (1-1) earned the win in relief of Mark Mulder. Roberto Hernandez (2-1) suffered the loss.
