MIAMI, May 7 (UPI) -- Josh Beckett pitched seven scoreless innings Saturday while leading the Florida Marlins to a 4-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies.
Beckett (5-2), a hard-throwing righthander, allowed only five hits while striking out six and walking one.

Miguel Cabrera was 3-for-4 with an RBI for the Marlins, who have won six of their last eight games.
Shawn Chacon (1-2) took the loss even though he gave up only two runs on four hits over 5 2/3 innings. Colorado has lost 10 straight games.
