MLB: Tampa Bay 11, NY Yankees 4

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 3 (UPI) -- The Tampa Bay Devil Rays ended an eight-game losing streak Tuesday night with an 11-4 victory over the New York Yankees.

Doug Waechter (1-1) gave up four runs on six hits in seven innings to earn his first win of the season.

Tampa Bay had 16 hits. Josh Phelps had three RBI, Aubrey Huff, Nick Green and Toby Hall each had two RBI and Carl Crawford had three hits.

Tino Martinez and Jorge Posada each hit solo home runs for the Yankees, who have lost five of their last seven games.
