MLB: Toronto 2, NY Yankees 0

NEW YORK, April 29 (UPI) -- Roy Halladay got the best of Randy Johnson Friday night with a three-hit shutout as Toronto defeated the New York Yankees, 2-0.

The Yankees lost their third straight and did so with their ace on the mound.

Halladay (4-1) struck out nine while pitching his second complete game of the season and the seventh shutout of his career.

Eric Hinske delivered a two-run homer off Johnson (2-2) in the seventh, helping the Blue Jays win their fourth in a row.

Johnson gave up seven hits and struck out nine with three walks. He went the distance for the 93rd time in his career.

Since blasting the Los Angeles Angels Tuesday night, 12-4, the Yankees have scored just two runs in three games.
