MLB: Florida 9, Colorado 3

DENVER, April 27 (UPI) -- The Florida Marlins won for the seventh time in nine games Tuesday, beating Colorado 9-3.

Josh Beckett (4-1) got the win, yielding eight hits and three runs. Beckett also drove in two runs.

Juan Pierre hit a home run and drove in two runs and Alex Gonzalez homered for Florida.

The Marlins scored five runs in the seventh inning and chased Jamey Wright (1-2), who took the loss.
