Busch wins 500 race at Phoenix

PHOENIX, April 23 (UPI) -- Kurt Busch won Saturday night's Subway Fresh 500 race at the Phoenix International Raceway, finishing 2.315 seconds ahead of runnerup Michael Waltrip.

It was Busch's first win this season, but the 12th of his Nextel Cup career.

Jeff Burton wound up third, Dale Earnhardt Jr. fourth, and Brian Vickers fifth.
