CLEVELAND, March 19 (UPI) -- West Virginia upset sixth-ranked Wake Forest, 111-105, in double overtime Saturday in NCAA second-round action.

Mike Gansey scored 19 of his 29 points in the two overtime periods.

The Mountaineers (23-10) will meet sixth-seeded Texas Tech in the Sweet Sixteen on Thursday.

Taron Downey pace the second-seeded Demon Deacons (27-6) with 27 points. Eric Williams added 23 points and 13 rebounds ande Chris Paul 22 points for the Demon Deacons.
