BATON ROUGE, La., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Brandon Bass scored 27 points Saturday to lead the Louisiana State Tigers to a 77-73 victory over the Florida Gators.

Antonio Hudson added 16 points and Darrel Mitchell 15 for LSU (15-8, 8-4 SEC).

David Lee had 21 points to lead the Gators (16-7, 8-4). Anthony Roberson and Matt Walsh each added 17 points.

Florida held a 30-29 lead with 3:46 remaining in the first half but LSU closed the period with a 9-2 run to take a 38-32 lead at halftime.
