COL BKB: Boston Col 62, West Virginia 50

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass., Feb. 1 (UPI) -- The fifth-ranked Boston College Eagles posted their 19th straight victory Tuesday night by beating the West Virginia Mountaineers, 62-50.

Craig Smith had 23 points and eight rebounds and Jared Dudley had 15 points for the Eagles (19-0, 8-0 Big East), who remained one of just two undefeated teams in college basketball. The other is Illinois, which defeated No. 13 Michigan State, 81-68, Tuesday.

Mike Gansey and Tyrone Sally each scored 10 points for the Mountaineers (12-7, 2-6), who have dropped six of their last seven. West Virginia started its season with 10 straight wins.
