NBA: New Orleans 88, New York 82

NEW YORK, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Lee Nailon hit a tie- breaking jump shot with 1:15 remaining Tuesday night to lead the New Orleans Hornets to an 88-82 victory over the New York Knicks.

Nailon scored 18 points and Baron Davis had a 21 points and 10 assists as the Hornets stopped a 14-game losing streak on the road and posted back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

P.J. Brown had 17 points and 12 rebounds for New Orleans, which came in with a league-worst 3-29 record. Dan Dickau contributed 17 points in the win with 5-of-6 shooting off the bench.

Allan Houston led the Knicks with 17 points, while Stephon Marbury had 15 points and 13 assists for New York, which lost for the fifth time in six games.
