COL BKB: Washington 84, USC 59

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Tre Simmons scored 22 points Thursday night and No. 14 Washington jumped to a 10-0 lead en route to an 84-59 win over USC.

Washington won its ninth straight, improving to 13-1 for the season and to 3-0 in Pac 10 play. USC is winless in three conference games and is 7-7 overall.

Mike Jensen added 14 points for Washington while Brandon Roy had 10.

USC was led by 20 points from Nick Young.

After their quick start, the Huskies added an 18-4 run that ended any doubt.
