AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- P.J. Tucker scored 21 points Wednesday night in helping No. 12 Texas finally pull away for a 100-82 win over Texas-San Antonio.
Texas (9-2) won for the seventh time in eight games with Daniel Gibson contributing 19 and Kenny Taylor 13.

The Longhorns led by only three midway through the second half, but Tucker hit a three-point play and Texas went on a 10-0 run to break open the game.
Justin Harbert scored 25 points for the Roadrunners (4-5).
Since Rick Barnes became coach of the Longhorns, they are 60-3 against teams from Texas.
