AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Kenny Taylor scored 23 points and helped No. 12 Texas get off to a quick start Wednesday night en route to a 97-52 smashing of Centenary.

LaMarcus Aldridge added 19 and Mike Williams had 13 for the Longhorns (8-2).

Centenary (2-7) made only five field goals in the first half and was led by 14 points by Kevin Taylor.
