COL BKB: Georgia Tech 87, Georgia 49

ATLANTA, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- The fourth-ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets demolished the Georgia Bulldogs, 87-49, Sunday.

B.J. Elder scored 19 points and Jarrett Jack had 16 of his 18 in the first half in the intrastate duel.

The Yellow Jackets (5-0) outscored Georgia by a 36-13 margin in the second half en route to their 19th straight home win versus non-conference opponents. It was Georgia Tech's largest margin of victory over the Bulldogs (1-3) since a 89-65 win in 19 years ago.

Levi Stukes led Georgia with 17 points.

Jack's 16 points in the first 20 minutes helped Georgia Tech open a 43-30 lead at halftime.
