Nelsons lead Father/Son Challenge

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Larry and Drew Nelson combined for a 12-under-par 60 Saturday to take the first-round lead of the PGA Father/Son Challenge.

Jerry and Wesley Pate are in second place after an 11-under 61. Bob and David Charles are in third place at minus-10.

This event is reserved for fathers who have won major championships and their sons. This year there are two exceptions as Arnold Palmer is once again playing with his grandson Sam Saunders and Lee Janzen is playing with Aaron Stewart, the son of the late Payne Stewart.

Saturday's action was in a scramble format, while best-ball is on tap for Sunday.
