Fairfax General District Court Judge Frank B. Perry set the trial date.

Taylor, 21, an NFL rookie, was given field sobriety tests that included walking a straight line and standing on one leg but refused to take breath or blood tests, a Virginia State Police spokesman said.

The player spent about six hours in jail after his arrest, The Washington Post reported.

A lawyer for Taylor said other members of the Redskins will testify at the player's trial.
