NBA: Dallas 92, Portland 83

DALLAS, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- A 23-point, 14-rebound effort by Dirk Nowitzki allowed Dallas to break a three-game losing streak Friday with a 92-83 win over Portland.

Josh Howard contributed 20 points and Marquis Daniels had 15.

A key three-pointer by Howard and a field goal by Nowitzki seconds later boosted Dallas' lead to eight and the Mavericks were not threatened again.

The Trail Blazers were led by 23 points from Derek Anderson and 16 by Zach Randolph. Portland had won its two previous games.
