DENVER, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony scored 34 points and Earl Boykins 32 Thursday to lead Denver to a 117-109 victory over the Detroit Pistons.

Richard Hamilton led Detroit with 25.

The Nuggets led by 20 points with 10 minutes left in the game.

The Pistons cut the lead to four with under 20 seconds left but Denver stayed in front with free throws.
