COL FB: Michigan 30, Iowa 17

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Chad Henne threw for one touchdown and ran for another Saturday to pace No. 18 Michigan to a 30-17 win over Iowa.

Grant Mason added a 25-yard interception return for a score as the Wolverines (3-1, 1-0 Big Ten) won their 23rd straight conference opener.

Drew Tate completed 24-of-32 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns for the Hawkeyes (2-2, 0-1), who have been outscored 74-24 in back-to-back losses to Arizona and Michigan.

Henne was 16-of-26 passing for 236 yards for Michigan, which scored 27 points off five Iowa turnovers. Braylon Edwards caught six passes for 150 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Ed Hinkel finished with seven receptions for 89 yards and a pair of scores.

Michael Hart had 99 yards on 26 carries for Michigan, which gained 93 yards on the ground as a team and held Iowa to minus-15 yards rushing.
