CHICAGO, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- The Florida Marlins scored six times in the bottom of the eighth Monday to take a 6-3 victory over the Montreal Expos.
Juan Rivera's fielding error with two outs enabled the go-ahead runs to score.
This game, as well as Tuesday's contest, was moved to Chicago because of the threat of Hurricane Ivan in the Florida area.
Juan Pierre went 3-for-5 with a run scored for the Marlins, who have won 12 of their last 15 contests.
Matt Perisho (5-2) pitched a scoreless eighth for the win.
Josh Beckett started for the Marlins and allowed two runs on four hits in seven innings.
Tony Batista had a homer and two RBI in for the Expos, who committed four errors in the eighth inning.
Gary Majewski (0-1) was charged with his first major league loss although he yielded only one hit.
Sun-Woo Kim, who started for Montreal, pitched seven shutout innings.
