LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Steve Finley hit a tie-breaking, two-run homer in the seventh and finished with three hits Friday to lead Los Angeles over visiting St. Louis, 7-6.

Giovanni Carrara (5-2) earned the win with a perfect inning of work, while Kiko Calero (1-1) suffered the loss after getting tagged for two runs on two hits in one inning.
Jason Marquis, who was looking to win his 12th straight decision, surrendered five runs in six innings for St. Louis, while Kazuhisa Ishii allowed four runs in just 2 1/3 innings for Los Angeles.
